Air Guitar World Championships
21.-23.8.2024 Oulu, Finland
Air guitar playing in a competitive sense is almost a year-round activity, and the competition network extends to several continents.
Licensed National Championships are organized all over the world: each country sorts out the best of their air guitarists in their own competitions. Only the official National Champions and the defending World Champion go directly to the World Final.
National Championships are held on both a hobby and a business basis, for the love of the sport in each case. Competition organizers will get instruction, visibility and contacts from the Oulu Headquarters.
Air Guitar World Championships is an internationally registered trademark, and the network operating under it acts in accordance with a peaceful ideology and common rules.

Can’t find a national competition near you? The chance to get a spot on world final stage is the Dark Horses competition in Oulu, Finland, a day before the final.
Air Guitar Australia’s mission is to form a community of amazing airheads and to find Australia’s greatest Air Guitarist to send to Oulu to take on the world at the Air Guitar World Championships! We encourage all Aussies, new and old, from all walks of life, to take part, and we believe strongly in equality, diversity and a level playing field for all. The only thing we judge at Air Guitar Australia is how well you play your air guitar!

Canada is back! Next Canadian Air Guitar champion will be chosen on Saturday, May 25th at The Velvet Underground in Toronto.

Finally the Finnish Nationals of Air Guitar are coming 2024. The first round of Finnish Nationals will take place at Jyväskylä Festival on Saturday July 6, 2024, and the second and final rounds at Workers’ Music Festival, Valkeakoski, on Saturday July 27, 2024. The French Air Guitar scene has grown remarkably in the past few years. You can enjoy the competitions touring around the country from January until the finals on August 10, 2024.
KIOSQN’ROCK festival in Mirande hosts the French Air Guitar Championships. The French National Champion will be chosen on the last day of the festival.
